The loss of recently deceased Uranian Astrologers: Arlene Kramer, Arlene Nimark, and Wayne Booher have left a major void in the practice and propagation of Uranian Astrology knowledge. This sudden vacuum has motivated Steve to begin sharing his Uranian experience so that the rich concepts of the system live on and evolve with future generations.

Alfred Witte (pronounced Vitt-a) of Hamburg Germany (1878-1941) is credited with formulating the methodology that forms the basis of Uranian Astrology and Cosmobiology.

Symmetry is the one fundamental underlying theme of the system. Witte's search for a symmetrical model of astrology resulted in the revival of midpoint techniques, anticsia and to the concept of "planetary pictures".

Some of Witte's innovations include the use of equations to represent planetary pictures (A + B = C + D); use of 360, 90, and 45 degree dials; importance of the cardinal points; importance of angularity and personal point contacts; he popularized the use of solar arc directions; dictated the "Book of Rules" to his students; developed a unique theory of house systems; and discovered four hypothetical transneptunian planets.

Steve was first introduced to Cosmobiology in the early 1980s by Rob Hand, Eleanor Kimmel, and through a correspondence course taught by Inga Aach.

His long term Uranian Astrology mentors are Arlene Kramer and Gary Christen. Both were students of Hans Niggemann, a German-American astrologer credited with successfully introducing an American form of the Uranian system. Hans was a student and coworker of Witte.
