William R. (Bill) Levacy, Ph. D. (April 5, 1946 - February 23, 2018) held a B.A. in English, a Master's in Education, a Master's in the Science of Creative Intelligence, and a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Training and Performance Improvement. The Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), awarded Bill the titles of Jyotish Kovid, Jyotish Vachaspati, and Jyotish Medha Pragya. Bill had practiced Vedic astrology since 1983 and had thousands of clients around the world. Bill wrote numerous articles in The Astrological Magazine and the new Modern Astrology Magazine, and the Astrological eMagazine.

Bill was also author of Beneath a Vedic Sky - A Beginner’s Guide to the Astrology of Ancient India, as well as Beneath a Vedic Sun, and Vedic Astrology Simply Put. Bill made TV appearances, was a guest on numerous radio shows, and conducted workshops on Vedic astrology around the US, Europe, and Asia.   • In this workshop we will explore how one of the tools of Yoga (Yamas) can be integrated with Vedic astrology to help identify a person's karmic tendencies to conduct themselves on the highest level. We will focus on the Yamas as a subset of coded behavior expressed in the Yoga Ashtangas or the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This class offers an original perspective in its examination of the principles Yoga and how the tendencies of behavior, declared in the Yamas, can be identified by the Vedic astrology system.
