  • Many jyotishis, whether beginners or veterans, have scant grounding in how to analyze the divisional charts (amshas/vargas) for which Jyotish is renowned. Lacking a methodology, they typically fail to decipher the higher-harmonic charts and their capacity to shed light on so many distinct departments of life.

Seshadri Iyer was a brilliant mathematician and astrological researcher with access to many private libraries throughout India via which he developed and refined his system based on Nadi principles. In New Techniques of Prediction, Volumes 1&2, he presented approximately 40 principles for interpreting amshas/vargas in light of dashas/bhuktis. Sadly, these books remained obscure to the average reader, until Iyer's principles were "unlocked" by Hart de Fouw and his guru Mantriji.

A detailed explanation and demonstration of these 40 principles would require a week of instruction. In this intensive, Alan will present a dozen key principles to provide attendees a solid grounding in amsha vichara for application in their respective practices. For reasons of both time and utility, the focus will be restricted to the D9 (navamsha) and D10 (dashamsha), thus giving practitioners the means to analyze the circumstances, and predict the development and evolution, of those two perennial concerns of clients - relationships and career.
